Shouty Seaside Sunday (at cancer)

Today, we don’t really want to post; maybe if we don’t, what we have to tell wont really be true.

Ludo’s stitches are all out! He is very pleased about that. He can resume normal life.

Today we normalled.

Today we went back to agility training and Ludo wizzed around the course, having lots of fun.

Today we went to the beach together, the sun was beaming down on us, but it wasn’t too hot. Perfect weather, really.

We didn’t take a ball and Ludo was annoyed about that. He barked accusingly at everyone else who had a ball. He tried to steal a small child’s ball from his flinger stick.

Today we just strolled and thought, smelled the seaside air and sat to watch the world go past.

We don’t know how many Today’s we have left together to enjoy these things. Our vet has recently told us it might not be as many as we would hope for, or like.

Yes, it’s that news we didn’t want to hear. The lesions and lump recently removed from Ludo’s abdomen are the same high grade mast cell tumours as he had removed in November. His prognosis is pretty bleak. Already I have found two more lesions in different places since these ones have been removed. We have promised him no more horrible things will happen at the vets.

Luckily for dogs, they don’t know or care about the future, they live in the Today. So we will keep on enjoying our Todays for as long as we have them.

But for now… will you join us just for a moment, in SHOUTING at stupid cancer?

Go away!

Thank you dear blog pals for your support. I think we might need it in the coming months.

Easter (single) Seaside Sunday!

Phew, that was a jawful of words to say!

It’s me, Arran! I get to blog today because Ludo is sulking.

Something is wrong with Ludo again and I do not like it! No one will let me help. If I try and investigate where Ludo smells funny and is hurting he shows mean teeth to me and if he doesn’t Ladee and Dad tell me to leave him alone. I look at him and then I whine at Mum Ladee and walk backwards. That is how I get her attention and tell her I am worried. She says he will be ok. Ludo is sulking because he says he has horrible things stuck in him again,  all across his belly, like thorns in your paw and if only he was allowed to pull them out he knows he would be ok! It sounds horrible to me! I do not like getting anything stuck on me, not even on my fur! I stop and wait until Dad or Mum pull it off of me. I don’t know why they don’t pull out the things that are bothering Ludo. Also, he is hogging all the attention and cuddles and he is always sitting on Mum’s lap!

Seaside Sunday – After Storms

Living by the seaside isn’t always so nice. Sometimes we get Sea storms and it gets very windy and too dangerous to go to the beach. The storms always pass and leave a sort of peace behind, but they leave other stuff behind too.

ssstones

‘All you stones are in the wrong place. Get back to the beach where you belong!’

ssstump

A strange smelling tree stump. Later a beachcomber will probably come and get this and sell it to someone.

ssporpoise

Poor little porpoise got bashed about and washed up. It was long dead by the time we found him, but we felt sad. He should be in the water. He’s the biggest we have seen wash up so far.

All calm again now. Let’s hope it stays that way for a while.

Very Hot Haws nature reserve in Barrow

Hurro!

This be another post from the summer that I didn’t get to do IN the summer (such a slacker Mum I has). Mum and TND had to run an errand in Barrow and so they tooked us along and we went to Haws Nature reserve in Barrow. It be all sand dunes and interesting and very different to our usual walks.

It did not supposed to be so hot but it got VERY hot whilst we be walking so we had to be careful not to run around and keep refreshed. I get a lot hotter than Arran, poor me and then I feel very fed up. Even though I does really like sunbathing. What can i say, I is a complicated dog.

Luckily, dunes being right by a beach you get lots of cool down time and we did not walk too long.
