Snow Dogs

It’s me, Arran!

This weekend I got to have some really Scampy fun. We went to a really interesting place called ‘Snow’. I have seen snow falling from the sky before and looked at it, but I have never been to Snow before. Mum heard it had snowed, but we didn’t get any because of the salty sea air, so she said to Dad, let’s go find some, because Arran is nearly three. And we did!

We drove a bit inland and went up a little higher onto the Cumbrian Fells onto Cold Fell and there we found… Snow! It was all white and sinky and also cold. I suppose that makes sense. Mum says that it is called Cold all year round and there is only Snow sometimes, but snow is always cold. I think my head hurts.

Here are some photos!

I’ll just keep this stick on my fur for later.

Summer time… ?

We had some nice sunny days last week, so I got to get some sunshine in my photos. On the nicest day we went for a walk through the farmers fields at the side of the village. It back to being a bit cold and rainy again now, but I is sure it will get nice again!
Wait for mee!

There three of these cool gate style thingies on the walk. I like to jump through them.

Hi Lambies, I so wish I could chase you, but I SO not allowed!

Gosforth Agriculture Show

Hurro, yes it me! Ludo! Remember?
hehe! Well I still here and I has lots to report on, like how I went with Mum and Grandpaw to a place called Blackpool and a Dog Dancing show and what TNP bought me back from hol-ee-day and lots of other stuffs, but I only get so long to steal other peoples internets and TNP said I could borrow his and so I decided to post about where we went on Sunday, to Gosforth show.

TNP had some friends staying with him this weekend and I couldn’t stay over cos one of them had the lergics but I got to go to the beach with them twice and to the show. They had two small childrens with them and I did not do any barkings or growlings at them, Mum says I is making good progress with children. Mostly I tried to ignore them, although I did make sure to touch their hands every now and then like I has been taught to do to feel safe around strange peoples… and to check if they had any food. They fed me lots! Mum says the T-touch handling work we has been doing in classes has really helped my confidence. All I know is I get treats for letting Tracey touch me in funny ways!

Anyways, you want to hear about the show!

It a thing for farmers and countrysider peoples but us other peoples and dogs can come too. We got there a bit late cos of waiting for the childrens so we missed a lot but it beed very hot anyways so I didn’t mind. They has all different categories of things to judge like who can grow the biggest or bestest vegetable and make the yummiest cake and stuff like who has the best sheep. They also had a tractor contest and a proper dog show (, you know, no neutering allowed. A rhodesian ridgeback got best in show) and horse agility contests and other things like dressing up your horse. It had other fun stuff for childrens to do too, all designed to get as much money out of the pawrents as possible Mum says. hehe!

Mum got lots of piccures and I met lots of other doggies.

Including a big collie me!

The childrens had fun!

I picked up lots of dropped food from the floor very quickly before Mum got the mean old leave it in.

I seed lots of animals.

The Sheep at the end pen stamped their feets at me! I’s not ascared of you big bully sheeps cos I a shetland rabbit dog!!

Mum liked these ladies.

The pretty girl in the red be quite young and I think her Daddy be very proud of her, he got her to move around for a better piccure.

TNP liked these…

Home after wards in my crate in TNP’s van. I still has to get used to it, but I like that I can see Mum and TNP now.

So that be Gosforth show.

Spring and Yum!

Me, Mum and TNP went on another long walk, we went all the way up St. Bees head where I lives and to the light house and back round. About 4 something miles I thinks. Mum got furry tired cos it be over some rough terrain. We wented to a little stone beach called Fleswick bay.

Lookiie! Spring!

I just loves TNP. Mum says she getting kinda jealous cos I always want to sit with TNP and say hello to him better than I do to her. But come on Mum, I see you like ALL the time.
ok, so this will probably get Mum major told off if he looks at it, but I doesn’t care. heheh!

(I better make it small, but yous all know what to do to make it bigify)

Anyways, I has to say thanks you to TNP, although I does not want to since he betrayed my trust. On Friday I beed feeling a bit poorly, so Mum being the fusspot that she is wanted to take me to the vets. We has no car at the moment since it broked, so TNP furry kindly (er, does I really has to say that Mum?) tooked me to the vets. I had a bit of a temperature so got some injections, but nothing much, I feeling better now anyways.

On the way back from our walk we had to walk through the sheep field and there beed lots and lots of lambs there!
Yum, right? Mum did take a video of them, but she stupidly thought it had uploaded in Picasa and it hadn’t, but she’d deleted it already. *sigh* I will go back and take another one.

Today I reminded Mum that really I has not had any good treats made for me lately. Plus she made herself some cookies.

So here what I got made for me, and Penny.

It a doughy heart. Mum just kinda made it up.
It made with rice flour, a whole little pot of unsweetened low fat fruit yoghurt, Some vegetable fat to bind (you can use any hard fat or butter but we has a nice healthy one called Trex on account of Mum being weird… I mean vegetarian. And a nice little dollop of honey for sweetness. Just mix the ingredients up and keep adding here and there until you get a nice gloopy dough. They shape it into a roll with some flour, twist it up and shape.

aw, Mum loves me! hehe! The twisties is so that your person can pull off nice little training size bits for you.

Like that! Mum baked this at about 170 c for 15 mins till it went golden, then turned the oven down to 150 for another 10 minutes to cook the inside better. er, I dunno what that be in American, sorry.

Yum! The yoghurt makes it smell delishious!

Wednesday almost wordless

Here some more piccures of the sheeps I seed for all your peoples to ‘aw’ at.

And a video.

I been helping Mum get the parcels ready for sending off.

Apparently I wasn’t supposed to grab it…
Snoopervising bees very tiring, so afterwards I had my dinner… Speaking of sheeps, I got a lamb cutlet. Mum gotted it from the hotel where she works, Some silly left a box of frozen meats out of the freezer and it defrosted overnight making it no good as people foods, it was gonna be throwed away but Mum rescued some for me. heehee.

Ludo’s Lookings pt. 2

Hm, so what did it be on the other side of the fence?

Can you see?

Yup! Horses. They look different to how I imagined them. (click) I thinks I will need a bigger net next time I go out horspital hunting with Carlton to keep them from getting his Mama.

Carlton explained to me about horspitals being a place peoples has to go sometimes and they not like it and they keep horses there, only we not know why cos neither of us had ever seed a horse up close and ever since then I has beed ascared of them. But the horses seem ok, so maybe it just the building kind that scary…

I tried to sneak under the fence for a better look.

I was ok with them nice and far away then Mum started saying ‘c’mon’ to the horses and making a clicky sound with her tongue like she was training them with a clicker or something. They started to come real close! ‘Does you be mad Mum! They will get us’, I barked.

Then she stroked one!!

Phew, lucky it didn’t eat her, huh? I think I in trouble here cos Mum say she love horses and used to go horseriding till she beed 16. Riding, yup, peoples sit on their backs and ride them around like cars. Weird huh? Why does they not ride cows and sheeps and things instead?

The horses got bored when Mum did not give them any foods so they wandered off again and we started back home. I glad I survived the horspitals. I tooked all your advice from afore and was very good. I wonder if that building behind be a horspital? Mum say no, it a school building for the boarding school but what does she know, she must be stupid to touch a horse. In fact Mum has to go to horspital soon to have her wisdom teeths tooked out, cos they done something called impacted. I thinks this means they be sucking all her wisdom out her brain so when it try to come out her mouth the teeths steal it and only stupids come out…

Here be a pretty bit of sky. And a piccure of the church.

We gotted a bit tired on the way back, so we went into the St. Bega memorial garden and sat on a bench.

Thanks you Irene Woods, whoever you be for giving us this nice bench to sit on.

Some nice dandylions, Molly and Faline would love to come eat all these!

We also seed these funny bird things up in the sky, they looked kinda like people. Mum said they was people, but people casnot fly.

Me laughing at Silly Mum.

Flying peoples, good one! hehe!

A chicken.

A stream.

That be it. I has lots more sheep piccures but this post will get as relentlessly huge as Mango if I post them today.

I thinks some of you might have beed questioning why I does not want to herd the sheeps. But remember, I a shetland Rabbit-dog, not a shetland sheep dog. As I decided here with very good clever reasonings. So there.

I has also beed gived an award from my new Friends Ginger Jasper and Chase the puggle. Thanks you two!

Here’s how it works: 1) Accept the award, post it on your blog together with the name of the person who has granted the award, and his or her blog link. 2) Pass the award to up to 15 other blogs that you’ve newly discovered. Remember to contact the bloggers to let them know they have been chosen for this award.

hm, newly discovered huh? Which pose the question, how new does new be? I will pass it onto, Honey the Dane, Miss Kylie’s other boyfuriend Bruschi the puggle, Joey the goldie, Samantha, Mack, Nala (though she do have it already) and I think that it.

oh, pee ess, more proof that those wisdom teeths be sucking out Mum’s wisdom. She showed me this the other day and said that it beed Mason Dixie. er… ok Mum.

She has nearly finished making the competition winners so we hopes we can send them off monday. We will also get the paw it forward gifts out ASAP! Mum wanted to put a thingy in from where we live but she keep forgetting to go buy it, we gonna do it today though.

oh peepeeess: Mum also thinking ’bout making a blog for herself to keep track of her crafty things, if she does the models of the winners will be up so you can look if you wants, but not the winners please to keep it a suprise.
